FIELD: railway transport; brake systems. SUBSTANCE: brake rigging loaded by brake cylinder radially acts onto at least one wheelset 1 of vehicle running gear through brake shoe holders 13 and linings 12 of brake shoes 14. Purpose of invention is to develop shoe brake and arrange it in vehicle so as to obtain higher braking force, exclude damage of wheelset tyres and reduce noise produced by wheelset 1 to minimum. For this purpose at least one rotary symmetrical brake shoe 7 is installed on wheelset axle 2 between disks 3 of wheelset 1 with loaded brake shoe 14 adjoining working surface 8 of brake shoe 14.
