PURPOSE: To obtain a composite material capable of preventing the oxidation of the interfacial coatings even at >=500 deg.C and capable of suppressing the reduction of the strength of the material. CONSTITUTION: In a ceramic composite body made of a ceramic matrix contg. reinforcing fibers with interfacial coatings on the peripheries, at least one kind of oxide forming substance selected from BC among TiB2 , ZrB2 , B4 C, BN and MoSi2 , has been added to the matrix. |
