PURPOSE: To provide heat transfer recording medium, in which printed images can be prevented from blurring and highly exact printing image can be transferred at the transferring of printing image on rough paper and at high speed printing. CONSTITUTION: At the heat transfer recording medium, recording material layer is provided on one side of base material under the condition that releasant layer is provided between the base material and the recording material layer. The releasant layer is made mainly of wax, the melting temperature of which lies within the range of 80-95 deg.C, the melt viscosity of which is below 15cps/100 deg.C and the degree of dispersion of molecular weight of the wax of which represented by Mw/Mn is below 1.10, where Mw is the weight-average molecular weight of the wax and Mn is the number-average molecular weight of the same. |
