The system for filling of containers with superposed layers of fruits comprises a central conveyor belt (1) and two transverse conveyor belts. Guides above the transverse conveyors change the direction of the fruits towards the supply posts. (8 - 11). Each supply post has a conveyor belt (8,9) extending along a descending slope from the transport conveyors in a longitudinal direction opposite to the products causing the fruits to rotate. The fruits leave each supply post in cradles (10,11) which are interchangeable according to the size of the fruits. The cradles have a front cross member and two side uprights with internally projecting pins (18 -23) which divide the fruits into aligned rows parallel and orthogonal to the uprights. A threaded rod positions each container in a central packaging post (54 -59) for filling. Suction cups (28) alternately grasp a number of products forming a layer and place this layer in the container so as to fill the container with superposed layers wedged one to the other.
