The ski (1) has a plate (3A) which is joined to its upper surface (7) by a layer (3B) of absorbent material such as visco-elastic material. Each longitudinal end (10) of the plate is held in a stop (5) and can move longitudinally. The front stop has a longitudinal slide formed by part (14) of its inner part (13). The inner part of the stop has a cavity (15) which holds a rigid transversal plate (12). One side of this is near the end of the plate and its other side compresses a block of elastic material (21) which is interchangeable.
