The linkage has a spherical bearing surface, to act as a pivot. It consists of a base cup (3), with a concave spherical bearing surface (4), fixed on the upper part of the bogie. The spherical concave bearing surface carries the pivot (5), with its upper face convex, to act as the bearing surface. The pivot is retained in the base cup by a lock which consists of a retaining bracket (8) held in place by a strap (11), and with cut-outs (12,13). The base cup and the pivot have circular cross-sections and the bracket and the cut-outs have a rectangular cross section, of such dimensions as to allow the introduction of the bracket to pass through the cut-outs. |
