The transfer box (10) has a motor (2) and a gearbox (3). The transfer box (10) is designed to be arranged transversally to the longitudinal direction (L) of the vehicle (1) and is fitted between the vehicles axles (5). It has a casing and an input pinion (15) designed to be engaged with a secondary shaft (14) of the gearbox. An output shaft (16) has an output pinion (17) engaged with the input pinion. The pinion is wedged on the shaft. The input and output pinions are conical or spiro- conical types arranged at an angle of return with their axes extending at a right angle in a common plane (P). The input pinion (15) of the transfer box (10) is rigidly fixed to the secondary shaft of the gearbox by electronic welding. |
