The device provides surveillance of the state of fuse elements which protect the various functional part of an automobile. It includes a data processing unit (1) receiving at its input the voltages present on the input to the fuses and the voltages present on the outputs from the fuses. The data processing unit compares the voltage at the input and output of each fuse in order to detect the occurrence of a break in a fuse circuit. The data processing unit then controls a display (10,3) in order to indicate the location of the detected fault. The display provides an alphanumeric output. |
