The fluid transfer system includes a conduit (6) having intrinsic elasticity, made from a visco-elastic material. A section of this conduit (6a) is mounted between two jaws (10,11), one of which is fixed (11) while the other may be moved by a driving electromagnet (12). The overall length of conduit is held between two blocks (7,8) which may also have clamp action devices to serve as valves on the conduit. When the electromagnet is operated, the elastic conduit is compressed and a volume of fluid is expelled in a direction determined by the operation of the two end valves. This volume is equal to the difference between the full volume of the length of conduit, and the residual volume when the conduit is compressed.
