PURPOSE: To obtain a dental curing composition useful as an excellent root canal filler and containing a hydrating self-curing calcium phosphate compound, an X-ray contrast medium carrying a high molecular material, a fluorine compound, an acid and water. CONSTITUTION: This dental curing composition comprises hydrating self-curing calcium phosphate compound (e.g.;α-tricalcium phosphate) as a main ingredient, an X-ray contrast medium a fluorine compound, an acid and water. The X-ray contrast medium carries a high molecular compound. The fluorine compound and the acid are blended so that the molar ratio of the fluorine atom in the fluorine compound against the calcium atom in the hydrating self-curing calcium phosphate compound and the molar ratio of the acid against the calcium atom are each 0.01-0.4. The dental curing composition is moderately adhesive as a pasty root canal filler, expresses an excellent operativeness, especially fluidity, has good filling property in the root canal and good curability, causes no stimulation to living bodies and is excellent in biocompatibility.
