Testing of plastic bottles regarding contamination

The redn. of the bottle vol. results in pulses. The bottle vol. following the redn. in vol. is then increased to its original vol. value. The redn. of the bottle vol. is carried out by pressure exerted at two places at the outside of the bottle, lying opposite each other, using a roller squeezing unit (5,6). The value of the exerted pressure is controlled to ensure that the inherent elasticity of the bottle, will return to its original size, after the removal of the squeezing force. The blast effect due to the redn. of the bottle vol. can be assisted by the application of a vacuum or a gauge pressure.
