Axial seal

The axis seal is for a flow channel or aperture passing between a first component (30) and a second one (40). It is made in one with a fixing sector in the form of a plug (20) which can be pressed into a recess (36) in the first component, and has a sealing sector (11, 13). The sealing sector is stressed towards the first component. In the stressed condition, it lies in a plane (26) which forms a 5-15 deg angle with a plane running perpendicular to the axis of the plug. The sealing sector may be in the form of a sealing ring on the outside of the plug.
