PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF A BRICK

The water permeable brick is made by screening a crushed material of 0.5 to 5 mm, which is obtained by crushing waste red brick, waste tile and waste pottery; adding 8-20 wt.% fine powder of 0.5 mm or less from the remaining crushed material; mixing and stirring 8-15 wt.% organic binder to mold a brick body; forming a mixture layer of a ceramic spheroid having an average size of 0.5 to 3 mm, the organic binder and water glass on one side of the brick body; and firing the brick at a temperature of 1,000 - 1,250 deg. C for 2-2.5 hours.
