Building material contg. chopped sunflower additive

In a building material mix, esp. mortar or concrete, with added vegetable matter, the novelty is that the additive is a member of the sunflower plant family, pref. in the form of chopped stems. esp. of 'Topinambur'. Also claimed is a process for prodn. of the above mix, in which chopped vegetable matter, selected from the sunflower plant family, is added to the mix esp. to retard setting and to reduce density.
