<p>A degassing system for a hydrocarbon dispenser comprising a hydrocarbon circulating pump (12). The system includes a degassing assembly (16) having an inlet connected to the pump outlet, a degassed hydrocarbon outlet (90) and an outlet (20) for collecting the hydrocarbon/gas mixture, a degassing vessel (24) and duct means (38, 60') for connecting the collecting outlet to the degassing vessel. The end of the duct means that is connected to said degassing vessel has an adjustable effective cross-section of flow. The system further includes pressure means (110, 118) for altering said effective cross-section of flow depending on the gas content of the hydrocarbon.</p> |
