Gas sensor noise reduction device

The noise component of a gas sensor (S) is reduced using a differential amplifier (DIF). The measurement signal contg. reduced noise signal components is provided at the output of the amplifier. The first input of the differential amplifier is connected to a positive voltage (UB+) resistance (RV1) and the first output of the gas sensor. The second input of the amplifier is connected to a resistor (RV2) at a negative voltage (UB-) and to the second output of the gas sensor. The positive (UB+) and negative (UB-) voltages have the same magnitude. The gas sensor is a metal oxide sensor with a planar construction, and includes a heater (HE).
