Lifting parking units for parking two vehicles stacked over each other

The double capacity garage unit parks two vehicles stacked over each other on a double layer frame. This can be raised and lowered in a pit which in the lower setting parks one vehicle underground and the other on the top platform flush with the ground. A simple spindle drive at the corners of the pit lifts and lowers the frame. The two platforms are linked by vertical struts which do not impede access to the vehicle doors for the lower vehicle. The spindle drives are secured into the corners of the pit and do not require any special lateral bracing. A flexible drive links the spindles for synchronous drive from a ground level mounted servo drive (7).
