The device is mounted in the line supplying the gas to the stove burners and is designed in such a way that, in its normal horizontal position, it lets the gas pass, while in a vertical position it cuts off the passage of the gas. As a result, if the stove is turned over, the device takes a vertical position, thereby eliminating fire risks. The device comprises essentially a part (1) which has an inlet nozzle (2), and outlet nozzle (3) and an central conduit (4) which makes the nozzles (2 and 3) to communicate, and is provided with a widening (5) wherein is housed a spherical body (6) of smaller diameter than that of the widening (5) and having a larger diameter than the outlet nozzle (3) so that in the case of a turn-over of the stove forwards, the spherical body (6) closes the outlet nozzle (3). By connecting in series various of such parts (1), it is possible to cut off the passage of the gas in a plurality of directions in the case of falling or turn-over of the stoves. |
