<p>Lenses for holographic spectacles comprise an optically transparent base (1) on the inner surface (facing the wearer) of which a layer (2) of recording material is deposited, at least one three-dimensional hologram being recorded in the material. The layer (2) is made of a material which is transparent in the spectral range in which the diffraction efficiency of the hologram is greatest. Beyond the hologram layer (2) (towards the wearer), at least one compensation layer (3) is provided. This layer is made from a selectively absorbent material with higher absorption of radiation in the spectral range indicated above and maximum transparency to radiation outside that range. In order to create an integrated structure, these lens components are joined using an optical adhesive. The invention significantly reduces three-dimensional modulation of the radiation passing through the lens resulting from the holographic image and thereby reduces colour contrast along the lens aperture.</p> |
