Application method for multilayer special effect paint finish

The paint finish is created in several stages. A first layer of a diluted base paint containing a special-effect pigment is applied. This is dried by blowing air against it, so that the flow speed on the base is 4 - 10 m/sec. The relative humidity of the air is below that in the spray booth, e.g. up to 50%. The air temperature is below the temperature in the booth, e.g. 15 - 30 deg. C. The air is applied during a period of 1 - 2 min.
