The present invention relates to a device for, in a sawmill for longitudinal sawing of a log 2 or the like, clamping the log to a feed table 4 by means of a log hook 7 fitted pivotably and detachably at its one end to the feed table, which log hook is provided at its other end with a point 10 intended to be placed against the top side of the log 2.
