A lens frame for spectacles comprising a front portion consisting of two lenses with no outer frames, wherein each lens has a through-hole (8) adjacent to the outer lens edge for receiving one end of peg (7) extending substantially perpendicularly to the lens surface and having an opposite end to which a hinge (33) can be connected for mounting one of the side arms of the spectacles. A bore (23) is provided in the peg for axially inserting a supporting member (21) into the through-hole, which supporting member consists of a rod with a spherical projecting head (24) on which an ornamental cover (9) may be mounted so that it engages the lens surface and conceals the rod and the peg.
