An appts. for the detoxification of liq. waste comprises a container (1) for a substance with high adsorption of the component of the liq. waste, with a feed in the upper region closed by a 1st retaining unit (2), and an outlet in the lower region closed by a 2nd retaining unit (3); and an uptake unit (10) into which the container (1) can be inserted. The uptake unit collects liq. from the outlet of the container and has in the upper region an overflow (11) through which the liq. can leave the uptake unit, with the bottom edge of the overflow arranged below the feed and above the outlet of the container.
