Mixing fine-grained rust flakes with ash from incinerator

Process converts incineration residues and municipal or industrial sludge into a building material. Fine-grained rust flakes and, if required, ash arising from incineration, is mixed with mechanically de-watered sludge, fine coke fuel and a CaO-carrier. The mixt. is subjected to conventional induced-draught sintering in which it is converted to a firm sinter cake which is subsequently broken up for sieve-grading to the desired grain size distribution. The CaO-carrier is pref. ash from brown coal power stations.
