PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF A BRICK

The process comprises mixing clay, fine sand and stone powder in a weight ratio of 4 : 3 : 3; pulverizing the mixed raw material to about 2 mm particle size; adding about 25 wt.% water to the pulverized raw material and mixing them; molding the water-mixed raw material into a preformed shape by pressing and cutting to obtain a half-finished article; drying the molded article at 110-130 deg.C for about 4 days; sintering the dried article at 1,250 deg. C for 18-22 hours; and cooling the sintered article for 7-9 hours.
