A pref. oblong plate is positioned on the back wall (1) between the work surface (2) and the top cupboard (3) and is parallel with the work surface. The storage unit (4) is fitted by fitments (5,5.1) so as to be level and mobile. The storage unit can be fitted in the top half of the space between the work surface and underside of the top cupboard, and can be tilted downwards to a horizontal position by the fitments. Alternatively, the storage unit can be fitted in the lower half and can be moved upwards by 90 degrees.
