The valve has borings in its seat body to create high-pressure fluid jets to depress cavitation. The seat body (3) has a seat edge (4), and borings (15) in it behind the seat edge in the through flow direction. The connection of the borings to the valve inlet (A) runs in front of the seat edge via an auxiliary valve body (9) operated by high pressure. The seat body may be in the form of a hollow piston with a seat surface (11) on the high-pressure side for an auxiliary piston (9) led into the hollow piston. The borings come out behind the seat edge (10) of the auxiliary piston in through-flow direction.
