Brake disc for use in disc brake assembly

The internally ventilated brake disc has a double friction ring (1) with radial cooling channels (2) and a pot-shaped carrier sector (3) which carries the friction ring and serves for fixing to the vehicle wheel. The carrier sector has fan blades (7). When the brake disc rotates, these create an air flow (8), by which the cooling of the friction ring is intensified. The air flow from the fan blades is roughly axially parallel in its direction onto the radially inner apertures (10) of the cooling channels in the friction ring. There may be other fan blades to draw in the air flow from these apertures and blow it away from the friction ring.
