The catalyst systems of this invention consist of catalyst precursors which are metallocene derivatives and cocatalysts. The cocatalysts comprise mixtures of: (i) trimethylaluminum, and (ii) at least one organotin compound selected from the group consisting of those with a general formulae: R1R2R3Sn-O-SnR4R5R6 or R1R2R3Sn-OH or R1R2SnO or R1Sn(O)OH; wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are C1-C20 alkyl groups.
