The cable has at least one central element (13) provided by an outer sleeve (15) and a number of enclosed optical fibre conductors (17), with tension restraint strands (33), arranged in one or more layers around the central element. The fault location is provided by at least 2 relatively insulated measuring conductors (25) within a common insulating sleeve or insulating layer (29). Pref. the common insulation for the measuring conductors is formed in several layers, inserted between the outer sleeve of the central element and the innermost tension restraint layer. |
