<p>The press operating method involves using a servo motor (20) which drives a rain (36) via a transmission mechanism (21-25,30-35) enclosed in a box frame (10). The box frame is filled with a gear oil through supply and drain holes (15,14) for the purposes of lubrication and noise absorption. The transmission mechanism comprising reduction gears (21-23), a crank (24) and connecting drives (32,34) converts a forward rotational movement of the servo motor into a downward motion of the ram. A control program controls the servo motor (20) based on the speed and position of the ram so that the ram decelerates immediately before a tool impinges against a workpiece.</p> |
