A device for mounting a movable part of a motor vehicle headlamp on a relatively stationary part, comprises a generally spherical head (12), connected to a first of the parts through the use of a rod (11, 11'), and an essentially complementary cavity (24a), secured to the second part, the said head being forcibly inserted into the cavity through an opening (24c) emerging in the latter, at least one flexible tongue (26) being provided in the vicinity of the said cavity and being capable of deforming elastically to allow the head to be installed in the latter, and, after this installation, of acting as an obstacle to the extraction of the head from the cavity. According to the invention, the said cavity (24a) by itself alone defines a stable position for the head (12), in which position the said flexible tongue at least provided is not in contact with the said head. Application particularly to the adjustable mounting of reflectors on headlight casings.
