In the application of a coloured coating to an article with a coating applied by fluidised sintering, the article is given at least a second coating of fusible plastics powder (I) contg. coloured pigment(s). (I) has a melt index at least as high as that of the fluidised sintering powder (II) of the first coating and the substrate surface temp. is above the m.pt. of (I).
