<p>A guided optical wave acousto-optical component includes, on the same substrate, (a) a layer (4) defining an acousto-optical interaction zone and of compsn. so that the functional wavelength of the component is near values of the optical absorption threshold of the layer; and (b) one or more waveguide layers (2, 3) which are transparent at the component functional wavelength and which are located at one side of the interaction zone-defining layer (4), at least one of these layers (2, 3) being deposited on the substrate by selective epitaxy.</p> |
