<p>The blade consists of an upper member (12) for attaching to the wiper arm assembly support (24), and an intermediate connecting strip (16) of an elastically deformable material. A lower scraper section (14) has its free edge (26) making contact with the windscreen surface. The upper member is made by moulding a material (M2) which is harder than the connecting strip material (M1) onto the strip's upper end. The free edge of the scraper is formed by the projecting edge of the connecting strip. The lower section (14) of the blade has an arrowhead cross-section, and is made from two triangular elements (36) moulded onto the opposite faces (17) of the connecting strip and made from the same material as the upper member (12). The different components of the wiper blade can be made, for example, by co-extrusion of different elastomer materials.</p> |
