Process for growing virus

A process for growing a virus comprising infecting chick embryo (CE) primary culture cells with said virus and culturing said cells by a suspension culture in a culture medium without adhesion of the cells to a solid phase. In accordance with the process of the present invention, a large amount of the desired virus can easily be obtained by a simple procedure without using a conventional solid phase such as a culture bottle, a hollow fiber or a microcarrier at a low cost.
