PURPOSE:To economically obtain the subject product improved in digestive absorption of its active ingredient due to the ground cell walls and not causing gastrointestinal injuries, by subjecting the aqueous suspension of the ground product of Fomes japonicus to a specific treatment, and subsequently drying the obtained slurry. CONSTITUTION:Fomes japonicus is ground into the power of 50-200 meshes, and the obtained powder is mixed with water to produce a suspension having a Fomes japonicus concentration of 10-25wt.% The suspension is fed into a cylinder whose 80-85vol.% is filled in with a rigid particle medium (preferably, zircon or zirconia beads) each having a diameter of 0.5-1mm, and the rigid particle medium and the suspension are rotated together and mixed with each other by the use of rotation blades at a temperature of <=80 deg.C. Finally, the slurry is dried to provide the objective product. Disk-like rotation blades having arrowhead-like notches and comprising a hardened copper, stainless steel, etc., are preferable as the rotation blades. The drying of the slurry is preferably carried out with a spray drier. |
