The automatic inserting apparatus can connect the floppy disk driver to a personal computer system in a power-on state and identify the connection state of the floppy disk driver. The apparatus comprises a system controller(3) controlling the system by receiving the signals of insertion or separation of the floppy disk driver(1); a logic gate(6) switching the electric power for driving the floppy disk driver(1) based on the output signals of the system controller(3). The apparatus makes it easy inserting the floppy disk driver or separating it.
