SUBSTANCE: lens were made by the following stages: (I) : forming and casting polymerizing mixture containing: (a) monomer mixture containing the most part of one or above hydrophilic monomers such as 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate and one or more cross-linked monomers; (b) inert displacing nonaqueous diluting agent taken from the group involving: (i) ethoxylated alkylglycoside; (ii) ethoxylated bis-phenol A; (iii) polyethylene glycol; (iv) mixture of propoxylated and ethoxylated alkylglycoside; (v) total phase of mixture of ethoxylated and propoxylated alkylglycoside and dihydroalcohol containing up to 12 carbon atoms; (vi) addict of α-caprolacton and a-alkanediol and triol; (vii) ethoxylated a-alkanetriol; and (viii) mixture of one or more (i)-(vii); Process is carried out under condition of polymerization of the indicated monomer mixture and formed gel preparing or copolymer of indicated monomers and indicated diluting agent; (2) the following replacement of the indicated diluting agent with water.
