FIELD: design and manufacture of adiabatic two-stroke two-chamber diesel engines with pistons of varying area. SUBSTANCE: scavenging ports of two-stroke engine may be located over perimeter of all six sides of tetrahedron, that is why area occupied by scavenging ports may exceed effective area of combustion chamber at small section of full stroke of piston near bottom dead center. There is no such relationship in stand engines. EFFECT: extra-high economical efficiency; increased specific power and improved quality of scavenging the combustion chamber. |
