PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a train service by mounting a navigation system to a car travelling on a yard railway or a shunting yard, previously setting a starting point and a destination and automatically setting a route by the place of a travelling train. CONSTITUTION: A train 1 is moved forward towards a destination 4 from a starting point 3 along a route 2, on which the train 1 intends to advance. The driver of the train inputs and stores the place 3 of the starting point and the place 4 of the destination to a car controlling machine or a navigation system 5 by a car controller 6 at a spot 3. When the train travels, the train successively detects current places by the navigation system 5. A signal setting a route by the positional information and starting point and destination information is transmitted to ground communication devices B1 -Bn controlling points A1 -An from a communication device 7 installed to the train 1 for transmitting the signal. Accordingly, the burden of the driver is lightened, and a switchman and a signalman are omitted. |
