PURPOSE: To cook food having curved surface evenly and efficiently by burying the food in the particles of iron powder or iron balls in a pan formed out of an electric insulation material, and applying induction heat to the particles. CONSTITUTION: A cooking vessel formed out of a glass pan 11 and iron powder 12 is placed on a heater coil 13 and, then, a food 14 such as a sweet potato is buried in the powder 12. Thereafter, the powder 12 is induction heated with the coil 13, thereby three-dimensionally heating the entire surface of the sweet potato 14 for preparing a baked food. In this case, the mixed particles of iron powder or iron ball, and sand or pebbles, or particles of high thermal conductivity may be used, instead of the above iron powder particles or the like, to improve cooking functions or shorten the cooking time. |
