PURPOSE: To facilitate the driving and regenerative braking of a motor, the charge of a battery and the refreshment of the battery with a simple construction. CONSTITUTION: A chopper circuit 26 is provided in parallel with an inverter circuit 15. When the power of an induction motor 11 is high, the chopper circuit 26 is made to function as a step-up chopper. When the induction motor 11 is in a regenerative operation, the chopper circuit 26 is made to function as a step-down chopper. |
