PURPOSE: To manufacture a large-sized, high accurate PDP, having an electrode between partitions, at a cost as low as possible. CONSTITUTION: In the case of manufacturing a PDP having a partition 29 parallel to each other of partitioning a discharge space and a belt-shaped electrode A arranged between each partition, a substrate 21 is partially removed by an isotropic etching method to form each partition 29, to form a conductive material layer 51 of covering a substrate surface between each partition 29, to form a patterning mask 62 of covering only a central part in a width direction of the conductive material layer 51 by applying a fluid resist material, and to form the electrode A by removing an exposed part of the conductive material layer 51. |
