SPHERICAL JOINT

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a spherical joint which is not likely to cause aging deterioration of a shock absorbing member despite a large input and which can shut off vibration in case of small input in a good performance. CONSTITUTION: A spherical joint is structured so that a shock absorbing member 3 consisting of wire meshing is interposed between the spherical surface part of an inner case 2 capable of relative rotation and the spherical surface part of an outer case 1, wherein the density of the shock absorbing member tip part lying to a tip side from the crest 13 of the shock absorbing member is made greater than that of the shock absorbing member tail part lying to a tail side from the crest 13. Thereby the shock absorbing member tip part is free from generation of permanent set in fatigue even with application of a compressing force at the time of acceleration, and a proper elastic force is maintained so that the engine vibrations are shut off.
