PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for deriving information related with a location area in a cellular mobile radio system including a fixed part for providing a radio effective range in plural cells logically grouped into location areas, and mobile stations for communicating with the fixed part in the system. SOLUTION: When at least a location area is changed, each mobile station transmits a location update message to the fixed part of the system so that recording of the mobile station can be held by the fixed part. In this method, those location update messages are monitored, location area-related data are extracted, and data 30, 31, and 32 extracted from those plural messages are combined so that location area-related information such as a cell list 35 constituting each location area, identification of a gateway cell in each location area, a list 36 of adjacent location areas, and identification of the most frequently used location area can be generated. |
