FIELD: brush cutting units for land clearing machines. SUBSTANCE: brush cutting rotor has drive shaft with upper and lower disks and flat knives 5 mounted on pins between disks. Shaped disk 6 with peripheral stops 7 is fixed between disks, with stops being positioned at rear side of each knife 5. During working in normal operation mode at low loading (brush cutting), flat knives 5 are aligned under the action of centrifugal forces and rotate on their pins. In this case centrifugal forces and cutting forces are mutually balanced. When load is increased (tree trunk cutting), flat knives 5 are brought into contact with stops 7 of shaped disk 6 and rotor works in operation mode of cutter with fixed flat knives 5 to cut tree trunks. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. |
