PURPOSE: To provide an optical switch capable of operating attachment/ detachment of an optical fiber from the insertion direction of the optical fiber and easy for operating the attachment/detachment of the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A space of a tapered shape whose section is a quadrilateral and in which the inside viewing from the insertion direction of the optical fibers 3, 4 becomes farther narrow is provided in the inside of a casing 8 of an optical fiber hold part 2, and a member (piece) 7 movable in the insertion direction of the optical fibers 3, 4 is provided in the space, and two tapered like penetration holes 7a whose section is a saw-tooth shape are provided on the piece 7. The optical fibers 3, 4 are let pass through the penetration holes 7a of the piece 7, and after the optical fibers 3, 4 are inserted until the inside, when the piece 7 is pushed into the inside further, the saw-teeth of the piece 7 encroach into the sheath parts of the optical fibers 3, 4, and the optical fibers 3, 4 are fixed. When the piece 7 is pulled out, the saw-teeth are loosened, and the optical fibers 3, 4 are drawn out. |
