PURPOSE: To provide a low-priced image forming device having high reliability and excellent recycling performance by cumulatively adjusting an image forming condition which exerts an effect on image density, detecting whether or not the remaining quantity of developer is equal to or under a specified quantity and initializing the image forming condition based on detection output. CONSTITUTION: In the case a remaining quantity detecting sensor 50 detects an empty state and outputs an empty state signal to an initialization controller 60, the controller 60 measures the duration time of the empty state signal. When the duration time exceeds specified 1st reference time TA, the controller 60 gives a command for emptiness warning display to a display device 70. When the signal from the sensor 50 is changed from the empty state signal to a signal showing that the developer exists before the duration time exceeds 2nd reference time TB, emptiness detection control is not performed. In the case the empty state signal is inputted to the controller 60 from the sensor 50 again, the measurement of an empty state time is started and a command for emptiness warning releasing display is given to the display device 70. Thereafter, when the duration time exceeds the 2nd reference time TB, a command for emptiness detection display is given to the display device 70 so as to initialize the image forming condition. |
