SYNCHRONISM ESTABLISHING METHOD FOR ASYNCHRONOUS TRANSFER MODE HUB AND ASYNCHRONOUS TRANSFER MODE INTRA-AREA NETWORK SWITCHING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To establish the synchronism of plural ATM nuts to perform real-time transmission of multimedia by comparing discrimination information and determining a supply route based on the comparison result. CONSTITUTION: A comparison routine 25 which determines the priorities of ATM hubs and an internal comparison routine 26 which determines priorities of network interfaces of the ATM hub which is judged to have a high priority by the comparison routine 25 are provided. A wait cell routine 27 where the ATM hub which is judged to have a low priority by the comparison routine 25 transmits/receives cells to response information from ATM hubs having higher priorities and a clock master determining routine 28 which determines a clock master based on the execution result of the internal comparison routine 26 are provided. Thus, the comparison routine 25 is executed again and is switched to the internal comparison routine 26 with respect to network interfaces which are judged to have low priorities by execution of the internal comparison routine 26.
